I buy my tax preparation software from Intuit, the folks who bring you TurboTax!  My program differs from turbotax and other Intuit tax products in that it assumes I know how to prepare the return with a pencil and paper if I have to, and almost no forms from any taxing agency are left out, so I don’t need the pencil.  It is the most full featured program available. Some of my clients live very interesting lives and I need those features!  

Because I am using Intuit products I use the tools that Intuit provides for collecting and storing data.  Unfortunately they provide separate platforms for those functions. Intuit link is how I’m collecting information from you. I have tried it myself and it is easier to use than any alternative available.  It sends you an organizer and questionnaire based on your past tax returns and you fill it out online. SmartVault doesn’t offer this capability.  Smartvault is what I use to store all the documents I keep. Intuit Link doesn’t offer this capability.
